TIMIA Capital Announces US$100M in New Tech Capital to Deploy through Joint Venture with Arena Investors
Published on
TIMIA Capital has obtained US$100M in financing through a joint venture with Arena Investors and provides us with the ability to more than double our current loan book.
The newly announced joint venture combines Arena’s extensive capital base and history of growth-oriented specialty finance with TIMIA’s expertise in originating and managing technology-focused loan portfolios.
Arena Investors is a US$3.5 billion institutional investment manager that has been investing in specialty asset and credit investments for over two decades.
The current landscape of softer venture capital, lower tech company valuations, and higher interest rates have created a demand for more alternative financing options for growing tech companies. The joint venture between Arena and TIMIA will help meet this demand with flexible private credit offerings like venture debt. We also hope to extend our credit solutions to larger growth companies.
In a recent press release, Victor Dupont, Managing Director of Arena Investors, said, “The opportunity in private credit remains significant, and we firmly believe our joint venture [with TIMIA] will be met with substantial demand from companies seeking capital.”
Supporting our Ability to Serve Growth-Stage Tech Companies
The partnership with Arena represents another significant milestone for TIMIA as it adds a new element of financial strength with a leading global investment firm.
The timing could not be better to combine TIMIA’s expertise in loan origination and management of technology-focused debt, with Arena’s funding capabilities. With TIMIA’s established reputation in the SaaS and broader tech industry, our team is fully equipped to effectively deploy this capital to growing tech companies.
